Proceeds from the Sourland Semi-Classic will support
D&R Greenway Land Trust is a central New Jersey non-profit land preservation organization. They permanently preserve watershed lands and large-scale landscapes, thereby preventing the loss of open space to development. Their operating region consists of over 1,500 square miles, encompassing portions of the Delaware, Raritan and Millstone River watersheds and the Delaware & Raritan Canal. Riding in the Sourlands wouldn’t be as great as it is without their tremendous efforts to preserve open space.
The New Jersey Bike Exchange is a non-profit organization who collect, condition, and sell used, quality bikes from shops in Plainfield, Newark, and Trenton. The Bike Exchange offers a large selection of low cost bikes for all riders. All bikes sold are reconditioned and ready to ride.
The missions of the Bike Exchange: 1) To provide low cost, quality bikes for families and individuals in Mercer County, Plainfield, Newark, and New Brunswick. 2) To raise money for the Boys & Girls Club of Trenton, Plainfield, and Newark, NJ. All proceeds from the sales of the bikes go to support the Trenton, Newark, and Plainsfield Boys & Girls Club’s after-school programs.
We are doing a bike/parts collection for the Trenton Bike Exchange. Please bring your unwanted items (everything but clothing) to Sourland Cycles (the Start/Finish location) on event day, and they will be delivered to the exchange.
